The Yamaha FC4 is a piano-style sustain pedal designed to enhance your playing experience on digital pianos, keyboards, and other MIDI-compatible instruments. It provides a realistic and responsive feel, simulating the sustain effect of an acoustic piano. The FC4 is a popular choice among musicians, thanks to its reliable performance and durable construction.
Key Features:
- Piano-Style Design: The FC4 pedal replicates the feel of a traditional piano sustain pedal. It features a solid construction with a rubber-coated bottom to prevent slipping during use.
- Sustain Functionality: When you press the pedal down, it sustains the notes you play on your instrument, allowing them to ring out for a longer duration. Releasing the pedal stops the sustained effect, just like a traditional piano.
- Half-Pedaling Capability: One of the notable features of the FC4 is its ability to support half-pedaling on compatible instruments. This means that the sustain effect can be controlled based on the depth you press the pedal, giving you more nuanced control over the sustain level.
- Versatility: The FC4 is compatible with a wide range of digital pianos, electronic keyboards, and MIDI controllers. It typically connects to the instrument using a standard 1/4-inch TS (Tip-Sleeve) connector.
- Durability: Yamaha is known for producing reliable and long-lasting musical instruments and accessories. The FC4 is no exception, built to withstand regular use and provide consistent performance over time.
- Size and Portability: The FC4 pedal is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and use in various performance and practice settings.
